Check the premise
before you send.

The operating receipt: a nine-account verification sweep surfaced three material corrections before outreach. Account premises, program status, or buyer information needed correction. This is evidence of errors caught, not a claim of revenue won.

Put one real account through this check.

  1. Name the observation. Write what changed, without explaining why yet.
  2. Attach the evidence. Save the source and its date. Check whether it still describes the current situation.
  3. Separate the hypothesis. Write “I think this matters because…” and name what would prove that wrong.
  4. Choose the next action. Identify one owner, one recipient, and a specific question or useful contribution.
  5. Set a stop condition. If the source is stale, the premise is wrong, or the person is not responsible, research again instead of sending.

Your output: a short, evidence-linked brief and a decision: send, verify, or stop. After the response, record what changed. No response is not proof that the hypothesis was right.

Attention does not always need a commercial outcome.

At home or on the page, the practice is noticing before interpreting. Keep a sentence, a detail, or a moment without turning it into a performance target. Ask permission before sharing another person's story. Some of the best records stay private.
