This is the second pillar in my GTM framework: Strategic Customer Engagement. (See Pillar One for the foundation.)

Customer engagement isn't about volume—it's about relevance. The best engagement strategies meet customers where they are in their journey, with the right message at the right moment.

Key principles:

1. Tiered engagement: High-value accounts get personalized motions. Lower-value accounts get scaled motions. One size fits none.

2. Signal-driven timing: Don't engage on your schedule—engage on their signals. Intent data, product usage, and behavioral triggers should drive outreach.

3. Cross-functional alignment: Marketing, sales, and customer success should operate from the same playbook. Disjointed engagement destroys trust.

Strategic engagement is the difference between interrupting and serving.
