What the Algorithm Misses

Everyone's got some hack for the algorithm.
I'm in my kitchen, end of a long day,
holding up a paper full of wild crayon lines.

Not art for the fridge.
Not a trophy for LinkedIn.
Just my daughter's first attempt at drawing me.

The algorithm would scroll right past this.
No engagement hooks. No viral potential.
Just a moment that matters more than metrics ever could.

We've built systems that optimize for attention
while starving for presence.
Tools that measure reach
but can't capture resonance.

What the algorithm misses:
— The pause before a decision
— The trust built in silence
— The deal closed over dinner, not data
— The relationship that outlasts the platform

Build for humans first.
Let the machines figure out the rest.
